The thought of just leaning back over the edge can be scary and tends to provide the biggest personal challenge to most people. It’s probably the biggest decision most participants will make during their stay and therefore is an excellent opportunity for them (and them alone) to push themselves out of their comfort zone. Even those that choose not to participate learn a valuable lesson about themselves.
